World of WonderMei

World of Wondermei (WoW) is a philanthropic vision based around art and its capacity to unite and delight.

Having no prior creative experience and falling accidentally into and in love with art, WonderMei realized that art can and should be by all and for all. Not just that, but WonderMei has always been driven by Dr. Martin Luther King’s wise words that “We may have all come on different ships, but we’re in the same boat now.” From this, the WoW vision was born to help those without a place and those without a voice, regardless of age, race, religion, gender, and identity, find their place and voice in the world.

Thus WoW charged forth in aid of the underprivileged and the WoW vision was spread humbly yet boldly first through a donation of a Wondermei piece to the Society for the Promotion of Hospice care in Hong Kong, and quickly followed by numerous art-centered charity events in Los Angeles in support of like-minded organizations such as First Place for Youth, School on Wheels, Planned Parenthood, and the American Civil Liberties Union. From there, WoW supported the first Afrifamu Gala in 2018 by donating totes, some of which made their way to an orphanage in Haiti. This inspired WonderMei to expand the reach of the WoW vision and its capacity to help the meek of the world.
